Maybe they have finally fixed it now, but I tested it every couple months for 1-2 years after my last PC build and always saw crazy high cpu usage. Static lighting or the default didn't cause issues, but many of the modes with gradual color fades or other effects did.

I recently was looking around and noticed Mirillis: Action video recording software being 1 on a few lists and got some good reviews from some gamers (though not very well known ones by the looks of it).
I have looked at lots of different ones, from free ones to paid ones. I just bought Action! from (?) and I was testing to see if there was any lag during recording. I dont need one for huge action games but maybe in the future I might.
